Purple is the color of death....

Lets start. I think im officially split between vector and space. I keep on combining both. I think i left space scenes such a long time ago because, well, frankly i wasnt good enough for it. Vector, i believe is relatively much easier so i decided to do that instead. I was not very good at space mainly because when you do it, there is usually one same way you make everything: stars, nebs, planets, etc. There are so many ways to do each, but for each of my deviations i would do the same technique for each part. Thus, i was not getting any better. With vector art; however, i found that with every piece i learned something new in the depths of photoshop. In the past few pieces of vector, the same thing started to happen. I did each piece the same way. As i am nearing close to space once again, i found that the new skills i learned in vector helped my space significantly. I think you will seeing more spaceart from me thats much higher quality than the ones before my vector breakout. I know anyways that, even though im really proud of this piece right now, in half a year or two i will look at this and see many mistakes and simply say to myself how crappy it is. Heh, at least i know im getting better at a steady rate and can only get better. Whew. Anyways, I doubt you read all that, but its been awhile before i have submitted anything and i had to get a lot out. Thanks for viewing!

EDIT: I tried to learn how to make better nebs and i believed i succeeded. Please leave more comments regarding them because i made then pixel by pixel. Im proud :aww: . Thankee!

how do you do it!

i love this piece although i do have a few questions about it:
:bulletblue: on the left hand side of the planet there is a small amount of "writing" which i can't quite make out, what is it.
:bulletred: this is more a criticism the space "cloud" on the right hand side has a straight edge down it which looks a bit odd
:bulletblue: the scene at the bottom ROCKS i love the way it looks like the smoke or mist is being drawn up into the space scene which draws the person into the picture.

overall very nice and worth a :+fav:

Hope.. Ha, hope is what the weak rely on when they know that all is lost.

u should illuminate the grave more, if it weren't for ur description i wouldn't have known what it was. it looks like a giant tube with stuff coming out of it. the space scene looks awesome, there's really good texture on ur planet. i like how the sky seems to melt into the trees

I pit a R.I.P in it, i originally had it before, but i thought it took away from the abstractness. Like?
