Hey. To be honest, im not really proud of this piece. Me submitting it right now is a defeat. I worked on it on and off for about a week, the terrain wasnt that hot to begin with, but i liked the colors somewhat, had no other terrains, and wanted to focus on the space part mostly anyways. I got the stars and planet shading down... I actually believe the planet shading in this is this might be better than the last. However, all attampts at the nebula pretty much failed. After having some 60 layers just on the friggin nebula i just put them all in one folder and put the opacity down to 25%. I couldnt get the shading right, and it looked overly flat. It actually looked somewhat how it did in my fireworks piece, if you wanna check that out.

So, i reckon this will go into scraps in a week unless yall miraculously love it for some strange reason. There were some strong points: the ring was actually good, planet shading as before... and that is it... lol. I also lacked patience, and today was a bad day. A new band i like is also half techno with fast beats, that (i swear) probably accounts for half of my frustration. Good band, but not good for art. No more techno for me.

Well, at least i relearned how photoshop works- somewhat that is.

I like it, but it does seem a bit... bland? :/

I think it's because the POV on the terrain, and the general dimness and lack of detail on said terrain.

I think it looks great... althought the sun in the background is a little bright and washes some of the terrain out. It's still wonderful though. I like it <3

I like it! B-)

i think it looks nice, though not the best, it does have its flaws, like stars not really outstanding and horizon is abit funny... but still the composition is nice and i love the mood of the whole scene, hey~ no sweats man, as designers we all want to strive and improve so treat it as a stepping stone for the next best work~ =D so still despite flaws would say its a nice piece man~! =)

i love the atmo and the planets/stars...
Apparently most of the people above don't know a great silhouette when they see one. I love it. I think the saturation in the horizon is great. Keep it up. I gotta see how u do ur atmospheres. Send me a note some time because I am having a hard time doing the atmospheres with nebula's like in this photo. I can do planets and stars...but havin a hard time doin nebulas. Send me a note or something with a few good pointers. See ya on Retrogade.
