"Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read,
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed,
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away"
The last two weeks have been devoted to this piece, especially when i was supposed to be studying for exams . I had fun, learned alot, (still trying out nebs,) and finally got around to doing a traditional red piece (or even nonblue), something ive never really done. I had the idea in my head for awhile, i really like it, especially the planet. I know the transition might be a problem. Please comment on 1. the lack of saturation (last moment decision) and 2. the rockets, thanks. The top, im ny opinion, looks better than the bottom and the transition was worse than both. Unusually, however, i began at the bottom, so thus i didnt do my usual bull of trying to speed up in the end . I love it, and so does my kitty sitting right here.
Expect a print and perhaps a wallpaper pack of the top soon! Thanks for viewing, and, lastly FULL VIEW BABY
I'm inclined to agree with you that the top is better than the bottom and that the transition is a little abrupt... although that's one thing I always have trouble with so I'm not in much of a position to criticize it. I think the rockets look okay... the thing I'm most curious about is why you're getting a flare effect on the sun from the planet ring.

My first glance and I thought the rockets were a little cluttery.. and then I read your description, looked at it again, and realised that I love these rockets combined with that beautiful planet o_O I adore it, I think you did a great job

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
