Wow, i didnt know i was capable of doing this. Many, many hours of work over a span of about two weeks has resulted in this. The planet is by far, again, my greatest. The render probably is as well, although my rendering skills still arnt much compared to the ones in my collabs. This is why itís kinda dark and i try to focus most of it onto the water and spacescape opposed to the land. I attempted to create focal harmony, and i believed it worked! The nebula is one im proud of, even though i know future ones will be better.

So, about this. The landscape wasnt that great. It all started when i tried to create a beach scene (indeed all the files for this are labeled "beach something" on my computer) but it didnt turn out well, so i just abandoned the idea and made a space scene. I swirled the clouds and terrain a bit, and weather you like it, which is very very possible, doesnt matter to me :). I like it, and it seems as if the viewer is looking at another world in a dream of some sort. This is how i came up with the name.

EDIT: The print is actually significantly better than this image. Because I have found that purely dark prints generally donít come out as well because they arenít backlit, I made the overall scenery lighter. The print also lacks the annoying line on the top of the planet, has a bigger border, and doesn't have the annoying pixilated lines in the atmosphere like this one does. Oh yeah, I also included my signature on the bottom left. (The shop has a preview of all this, of course.) If any of this is a problem, just send a note.Go to the bottom for more details!

-45 Shown Layers
-2000x3000 Pixels (shown at 50% with added boarder)
-16 Combined hours of work(not including rendering time)
-3 bowls of Chex Mix consumed
-Lots of Chocolate Milk XD

Ok, so about prints. The only rule really is that, if youre nice, all prices are negotioable. I pretty much took the reccomended prices and kept them. Note me.

I just wanted to say I was looking for a space scene print for a christmas present and happened across this one.

It blew my mind and looks absolutely incredible when full viewed so I got the biggest size possible and I am looking forward to its arrival!

This is astoundingly gorgeous work and I thank you for giving me the perfect gift :)

I'm not too keen on the swirled clouds, but theres no harm in doing something different to a Terragen scene. What grabbed my attention was the amazing lighting and colour on the main planet and nebula.

the mood that u have set is very powerful and really gives a dream world feel, as if in an alternative/parallel world.... details are awesome and makes people drool at times... lol your waters are so real and is a BIG plus... the lights from the stars that shone on the planet is a nice touch to the whole thing too... i love this work man!~ keep the powerful works up1

Looks very cool! I like the nebula. But there is one problem in my oppinion... the ring doesn't look realistic. It looks too thin and a little too wide. I would make it slightely thicker and closer to the innitial planet, ;) Cheers!

The planet is amazing, really. Some places are a bit oversharpened i.e. the water, the planet ring, but the composition itself is real nice. I love the way you made the nebula fade in, and with two small stars. I think it prevents us to focus on the nebula, so we can keep gazing at that wonderful planet.

Watch out for those resize lines on the large star. I beleive that if you put the resample method to nearest neighbor instead of bicubic, it'll get rid of those.

Great piece overall. Yup, very nice indeed. :)

thanks alot. Actually i think the star glitch was made when i actually made the star. Im happy with it though. I little imprefection is nice ^_^. Thanks alot for the nice comment!

Luv the planet texture and the colors but the ring around it is a bit too sharpened i think. You can also see a nasty white outline on the terrain. Like also the nebulae. :)

Nice job. ;)
jagged-r0cks Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2006
yes, i did sharped the ring a shitload... but i fail to see the line? do you mean the one tail of outline of terrain on the right where the cloud is? yeah... that probably got there when i liquified the clouds, oh well thankee!

oh man, you've gone and done it!
this is absolutely lovely! i love the render.. and the nebula is completely amazing!
how do you get the planet surface looking so realistic? it looks so nicely extruded..
Samartian Featured By Owner Mar 6, 2006
i like the colours used but the blacknes of the terrain (the near one) kinda kills the pic... it'd be much better if it was water... overall nice pic
